OCIA stands for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is a "Journey of faith and conversion" and, more specifically, the process through which adults prepare to enter into the Catholic Church.

This journey is not taken alone. Members of the parish community accompany those going through the OCIA program. In addition, each participant has a Catholic sponsor (someone who mentors them in faith).

OCIA Program for Adults

Adults who wish to be initiated into the Catholic Faith through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist journey through a twenty-week period of formation in the OCIA program. The OCIA process includes formation in the Catholic faith, including catechesis on Catholic teachings and practices.

OCIA classes are offered twice a year in English and in Spanish.
